LIVING IN THE PRESENT – Here and Now
Mindfulness Retreat – Friday, January 24, 5:00 pm to Sunday, January 26, 12:30 pm EST, 2025
Service Description
Mindfulness is paying attention to the present moment experience with curiosity, openness, kindness and without judgment. It is a progressive training that integrates body, mind, and heart to develop a clearer and brighter level of awareness that allows us to see reality as it is, opening space to live life with greater presence and connection. Inspired by monastic retreats, more than a class or a workshop, this Retreat offers space for immersion in contemplation and silence to develop an intensive practice and receive the necessary support to go deeper into meditation. It includes complete meditation instructions, sitting and walking meditation practice, daily Metta (loving-kindness) practice, Yoga or conscious movement sessions (Optional), talks, sharing with facilitators, and group sessions. This is a silent retreat, and while we will have space for questions, the format is designed so that participants remain in noble silence with a dedicated and sustained practice as much as possible (In the evenings, it is the responsibility of the participants to maintain the atmosphere of silence and contemplation). We recommend that participants make arrangements to create a suitable space in their homes or the place from which they connect.
